ARCHIVE WORKSHOP – LARGE FORMAT PHOTO AND PRINTING

In this workshop we looked at creating large format analog prints, These are prints sized 4×5 inches or bigger. The main advantage of this is that the images have higher resolutions.

You only can take two images at a time and you slide the large negative into the holder. As we worked in pairs we had one photo each.Unfortunately when taking my image the negative slide wasn’t pushed all the way in properly so half the photo was cut off, when exposing the image to print I just enlarged the image so the top was cut off.

This was the test strip exposed for 10 seconds with a 3 gradient.scan-copy-2

This is the full sized print with the same timings however I felt it looked a little bit too contrasted so ,as shown below, I turned the gradient to 2 and exposed it for 12 seconds.scan-copy
